Pakistani models sashayed down catwalks, flaunting the latest creations by Pakistani designers during the first day of Fashion Pakistan week 2010 preceded by an opulent opening ceremony. The designs on day one showed an aesthetic that’s all over the map, from modest to revealing and even cartoonish, said HuffPost. The Fashion Week is scheduled to feature 52 designers – 49 of them from Pakistan and one each from Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates – in a follow-up to a first event held in Karachi last November. Some of the Pakistani fashion designers whose designs were presented on the first day were: Sana Safinaz, Shakeel Saigal, Rabia, Zaheer Abbas, Monia Faruqi, Shahla Rehman, Alize Shah.
